World Wide Developers Conference

Yesterday, the WWDC (World Wide Developers Conference) started. Steve Jobs at his keynote introduced Mac OS X Tiger v. 10.4, which will be available in the first half of 2005. TIger is what I am really excited about because of over 150 new features. I love Spotlight and Automator I think the most, but the improved iChat looks awesome too along with Dashboard and Safari RSS. But another thing that was really cool was the new displays from Apple. They introduced a brand new line of displays of 20 inches, 23 inches, and the largest high-resolution computer screen ever - the 30 inch. These displays match the Power Mac G5 and the PowerBook. So far, the 30 inch only works with Power Mac G5s if you buy a new graphics card to drive the screen. The displays will be able in July, except for the 30 inch, which will be available in August. I watched (and downloaded) the entire keynote (which was about 1 hour, 40 minutes long). You can find out more information at almost any Apple/Mac community website, but if you want to go straight to the source, go to www.apple.com. Yesterday was a huge leap for Apple and the entire technology world!
