iPod-less

I am officially iPod-less. I have no iPod. It’s dead. The drive died. How can I possibly listen to my music now? I can’t afford a new one right now. $400. Gone. Well, at least I am getting $75 for it (iPodMods.com is buying it from me AS-IS from me). And plus, the 20 GB iPods now are only $300 ($100 less than what they used to be before the price drops). But for now, I can’t listen to my music except for on my PowerBook - and I can’t fit that in my pocket. I have no CD player. I haven’t had one for years. And even if I did have one I still could NOT go back. And then I would have to create CDs again (now THAT was annoying). I just can’t downgrade. Now I guess I’ll have to wait… for money. But that will take an awful long time for $300 to just “come to me.” I guess I’ll have to work. (I am NOT going to do FreeiPods.com because that takes too much energy and it is too much hassle and it takes too long.) There are three things now that I have to save up for: a new iPod (either a 20 or 40 GB), a new digital camera (looking at the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-V3 and the Canon PowerShot G6), and a fire-proof/water-proof/theft-proof safe. Hmm… that’s more than a $1000. And that could all be going to a Power Mac G5 too…
